Complete four blocks before comparing heavy truck suppliers

Duty and load

Describe cargo, vocational equipment, route, grades, surfaces, daily distance, shift pattern and climate. State the required payload and whether the truck will tow. Identify occupants, fluids, body, accessories and auxiliary systems included in the operating load.

Chassis and body

Record cab form, wheelbase, axle count, body type and dimensions, loading method, engine or motor, transmission and drivetrain. Keep acceptable alternatives explicit; a changed wheelbase or body material can affect turning, tare weight and payload.

Ratings and evidence

List required GVWR, GCWR, GAWR, payload and towing basis with units. Ask which specification, label, drawing or test record supports each proposed figure. Family maximums and documents for another model year should not substitute for exact-build evidence.

Commercial scope

State units by configuration, destination, Incoterm, inspection scope, requested delivery window and required documents. Ask for vehicle, customization, body work, inspection, packing, inland transport, freight and destination exclusions as separate lines.

Send one completed brief to every candidate supplier

Include an optional budget amount or range, currency and per-unit or total-order basis. Supplier preference may be premium, mid-range, budget-focused or undecided; it is a buyer preference, not a verified rating.
